Here are the charges for the FWS 2017
Symposium Registration Fee – The symposium fee grants access to the instant gallery, trade show, rotations (demonstrations), an opportunity to win an educational grant and the Friday and Saturday evening functions. It does not grant access to the workshops which are an additional fee event.
Full Registration Fee for Rotations – $135 before January 1st, 2017
Full Registration Fee for Rotations – $160 after January 1st, 2017
“$50.00 Late Cancellation Fee After January 1st”
One Day Registration Fee for Rotations – $90 You specify which day during registration.
Youth Registration Fee for Rotations – $55
Additional fees are added for housing, meals and Baptist Conference Center fees and listed below.
Workshop Registration Fee
$55.00 per person for the half day workshops
$110 per person for the full day workshops
The hands-on workshops require pre-event registration. The workshops have a very limited number of spaces due to the hands on nature of the workshop. The demand for these workshops is very high and the workshops fill quickly after registration opens. These workshops are conducted on Friday morning at 8:30am and Friday afternoon at 1:00pm and are usually conducted by Florida turners.
The accommodations provided by LYBCC have been recently renovated and are located within walking distance from the Symposium events. The price of accommodations on the Lake Yale campus includes all meals. Meals are provided in the Magnolia Dinning Room.
FWS Prices for Motel Accommodations
Single Occupancy – $115 per person per night, meals included
Double Occupancy – $93 per person per night, meals included
The recreational vehicle park on campus has 15 hookups. These spaces go very quickly once the registration is open!
RV plus Driver – $41 per night, each additional person is $11 per night. Meals purchased separately.
A Hold-harmless waiver will also need to be signed before hook-up. It will be mailed to you prior to the Symposium.
For those who live within driving distance to the Lake Yale facility, or who are staying off campus, there is a $11 per day charge, meals purchased separately The days that you choose to attend will be indicated during registration.
For those who are not staying in the on campus hotels, meals are available and should be purchased when you register so that they can be included on your name tag. The price for meals in the Magnolia Dining Room are:
Breakfast – $9.00 Lunch – $11.00 Supper – $16
The Florida Woodturning Symposium usually offers Monogrammed Polo Shirts, Monogrammed baseball caps, and insulated coffee mugs for sale during registration.
