Al Hockenbery

Al began his woodturning artistry in 1987. His work has earned recognition with Jurors Choice awards, a six week invitational show at Maryland Federation of Art, Baltimore, MD, and work selected for four national American Association of Woodturners shows. Al was a member of the woodturning faculty at Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts for eight years and directed the woodturning program for 3 years, He currently teaches locally and at the J.C. Campbell folk school. Al demonstrates woodturning for numerous clubs and local events and has presented at regional and national woodturning symposia.
